My wife and I rewatched the last Bond film, “No Time to Die”, and the last Mission: Impossible movie over the weekend, so I was locked into a SPECTRE/Syndicate frame of mind and UltraMAGA so perfectly fits the MI5/MI6/IMF scenario, I couldn’t help seeing Obama as Lyutsifer Safin (the guy who killed Blofeld and all of SPECTRE with DNA targeted nanobots), Biden as Blofeld, Trump as M and Ron DeSantis as Bond or Ethan Hunt.

Every espionage novel, TV crime procedural or thriller movie contains an example of the Democrats’ modus operandi.įunny enough, I started thinking about this when President Cognitive Dissonance mentioned UltraMAGA yet again in a speech yesterday. If you think about it, there are examples of such indirect attacks in literature and popular entertainment. That may blunt the opposition for a time, but since it is such an obvious and direct attack in the enumerated prohibitions in the Bill of Rights, it simply serves to embolden the opposition. When they are given power, as our current situation demonstrates, they attempt indirect attacks, using their power to shut down debate and any public examination of their actions and policies by going after the First Amendment. They are so bad at it, their premises are so deeply flawed, that they are willing to abridge the Constitution to avoid it. My observation, and it is certainly open to discussion, is that the left is particularly bad at debate. Most politicians shy away from any direct point-counterpoint over their proposals and policy positions to the point that organized “debates” are not real debates, just opportunities for the politicians to repeat talking points over and over in the hope of preventing gifting the opposition with a sound bite for a campaign commercial. It is difficult to find many (if any) cases where the left will directly engage the right in an honest debate, based on facts and data, about which idea or policy is better. The one unifying characteristic seems to be a desire for control.
